Many people have half a dozen Chablis or more on their wine list. I don't. I just have this one. Why? Well, because I think paying over £20 for a bottle of top-notch Chablis is a luxury most people can't afford so there's no point in having lots of 1er Cru on my list. And besides, this Chablis, at £14.50 does the job brilliantly well at almost a third of the priceless. Plus why have five Chablis. This one is great. So I just drink this one. It's got a delightful fresh lemon and crunchy apple fruit flavours, an underlying minerality that is rapier-sharp, and it's creamy finish lasts in the mouth for ages. Job done! Top wine. Worth every penny. Perfect with a massive bowl of freshly cooked langoustines.
