Many people have half a dozen Chablis or more on their wine list. I don't. I just have this one. Why? Well, because I think paying over £20 for a bottle of top notch Chablis is a luxury most people can't afford so there's no point in having lots of 1er Cru on my list. And besides, this Chablis, at £14.50 does the job brilliantly well at almost a third of the price less. Plus why have five Chablis. This one is great. So I just drink this one. It's got delightful fresh lemon and curnchy apple fruit flavours, an underlying minerality that is rapier sharp, and it's creamy finish lasts in the mouth for ages. Job done. Top wine. Worth every penny. Perfect with a massive bowl of freshly cooked langoustines.
