So we've cogitated, ruminated and debated about what makes the very best wines to take to the beach. And this is it!! Six lipsmackingly refreshing wines that will help you while away those last sunny hours at the end of an afternoon and beginning of a great evening down by the shore.
Ke Bonta Pinot Grigio Rosé 2019, Piedmont, Italy
Light salmon pink rose with wonderful soft raspberry and cream fruit combo shining through. One of our favourite rosés and a best seller to boot.
Gassac Reserve Rosé 2019, Languedoc, France
Without a doubt this tops the charts on our rosé Top 10, even beating Whispering Angel for popularity despite being half the price. Made by the famous Mas Daumas de Gassac estate it has delicate, soft, strawberry notes, with a touch of vanilla ice cream, all finishing with a nice taut acidity. Timeless.
Riondo Pink Frizzante NV, Veneto, Italy
The Riondo Pink Rosato Vino Frizzante is an enticing wine with gentle bubbles and a lively, peach-blossom pink colour. On the nose, it shows delicate scents of pink grapefruit, raspberry and wild strawberry which continue on the palate in balance with a fresh citrus note on the finish.
Riondo Spago Frizzante NV
So when you think Prosecco, you think sweet, sparkling, but fundamentally one dimensional. Think again. Firstly, this is a frizzante. Which means it is semi-sparkling. So very soft, gentle bubbles. Second, it's an explosion of apple, pear and fresh whipped cream flavours that keep on giving. In other words, it's absolutely delicious. Our best selling Prosecco by far!!
Gassac Reserve White 2019, Gassac, Languedoc, France
A great value Languedoc white from the famous domain Mas Daumas de Gassac. At a fraction of the price of its famous stablemate, this Viognier/Marsanne blend has the elegance and quality you'd expect from a 'Grand Vin' estate. Herby and aromatic on the nose, peachy and lemony on the palate. Pear fruit aromas with a soft buttery mouth feel - just superb. And it's 100% organic.
Reveleste Albarino, Galicia, Spain
Albarino is one of our FAVOURITE styles of Spanish whites at The Brighton Wine Company. We simply love the fresh, crunchy apple flavours you get from the Albarino grape variety and its intense zingyness. This is our newest addition to the range and is incredible value given its quality. Pretty much the prefect white - pair with a plate of calamari or fresh sardines and you are instantly transported to Spain.
