We've got an amazing offer on the second wine of a fabulous top Grand Cru Saint-Emilion in Bordeaux, Château Fleur-Morange Mathilde. This is Jancis Robinson’s comments about when she first tasted wines from the Château: "I first came across La Fleur Morange in an extensive blind tasting of right bank 2005s in 2008 when Stephen Browett and I were respectively convinced that this mystery wine was Ausone and Pavie, two of the four estates now in the rarefied rank two notches above Grand Cru Classé.”
The 2011 Mathilde is the Château’s second wine, but they only produce around 1200-1300 cases a year – tiny in Bordeaux production terms (Lafite produces 18,000 cases of its first wine, and a similar amount of its second wine). Supple, silky smooth, with a classic rich ripe notes of cassis and black cherry, it has fantastic length, complexity and a delightful smoky, cedarwood finish. Classic St Emilion and absolutely delightful. We’ve managed to get hold of a small parcel of the 2011 at a great price which means we can give Brighton Wine customers an early Christmas present of 25% off. Normally at least £29.95 per bottle, we are offering it out on a first come first served basis at £21.95 a bottle.
Minimum purchase is 6 bottles. But hurry, we only have a small number of cases and once they are gone, they are gone.
