Ok, so we've taken our three best everyday, core drinking reds, and put them into a nifty mixed case. These are the reds our customers rely on most. They provide that perfect cheeky little glass at the end of a long hard day and back-of-the-cupboard inventive cookery (like we all know what to do with a can of tinned peaches right!). These are the wines that will pick you up and cheer you up, but not raise a frown from the bank manager. You can opt for a 12 bottle or a 6 bottle case - but you know a 12 bottle case makes more sense!
So in this marvellous little vinous care package you have:
Santiago Pinot Noir, Central Valley, Chile
Finding drinkable Pinot Noir for under a tenner is nigh on impossible. Most tend to be ribena light imitations with a drop of alcohol added for fun. Not so this Chilean Pinot Noir from the Central Valley. It has real character, from its juicy lush red cherry fruits to the ends of its peppery licorice finish. All in all delicious and well suited to pink juicy lamb chops with a dollop of dauphinoise potatoes on the side.
Le Barbe Merlot, Rhone, France
Soft, supple, red and black cherry fruit mix with a touch of milk chocolate and black pepper to make this Southern French Merlot one of the most drinkable wines you could imagine. An absolute stunner with roast beef and wicked with crispy roast duck.
Block Head Shiraz, Swartland Region, South Africa
South Africa has been particularly good at producing great value reds in recent years and this is no exception. Think deliciously soft blueberries mixed with fresh strawberries, topped with a bit of fresh vanilla ice cream, and bingo, you've got it. Awesome with summer BBQ's.
In the six-pack, you'll get two of each of these lovelies. In the twelve bottle case, you'll get four of each.
